Hello and welcome! Me llamo Zachary Brounstein y creo que es bueno tener muchos intereses.
A little about myself for the unindoctrinated: I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada (although not in a casino) and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Chemical Engineering. Currently, my place of residence is Northern New Mexico, where I am working at Los Alamos National Laboratory and pursuing a PhD in Nanoscience and Microsystems Engineering at the University of New Mexico. My research interests include:
- Materials Science
- Polymer composites
- Additive Manufacturing
- Radiation shielding
That said, if you ask me what I do, I will always answer that I play guitar and paint. Why? Because that is what I do.
I make it a mission to go outside my comfort zone, which includes traveling (but is by no means ever a disappointment). If we were ‘country-counting’ (without including layovers even though the passport stamp is there), my total would be 20 countries across 4 continents (North America: United States of America and Canada; Europe: Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Spain; Asia: Israel; South America: Colombia, Peru, Brazil, and Ecuador).
I adore reading. Although I despise the terms best and favorite, I can say that at the moment the book that made me feel and think the most was The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The books I have read the most repetitively are the first four Harry Potter books (the years between 2000 and 2003 felt like two eternities waiting for the fifth in the series).
In closing, ΕΣΡΟΝΔΑ.
It is my hope that this website serves as an outlet for me to showcase my progression in the hobbies I pursue. As of now there are galleries of my paintings and photographs and a page where I am uploading musical compositions.
I am always finding ways to update this website, so come back every now and then! Who knows what else there will be (I certainly don’t), for whenever inspiration strikes, I will be diligent! Thank you for visiting!
Peace.
